No Reservations/Discounts Accepted at Newly Opened Skipper Canteen:


In what is being classified as a test, reservations are not being accepted at the newly opened Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen. The restaurant which just opened today in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom officially. The Skipper Canteen will strictly be walk-up and have no reservations a first for a Walt Disney World table-service restaurant. Reservations usually begin 180 days out from guests trips.

Guests will be able to walk-up to the Skipper Canteen beginning at 10:30 a.m. Guests should walk up when they are ready to eat and they will not be able to reserve a table for later. After checking-in, guests will receive an approximate wait time and will receive a text when their table is ready. While it is being classified as a test, no word on if reservations will be accepted in the future or if Disney is looking into implementing this in the future at other restaurants. 

The Disney Dining Plan is being accepted as one entitlement. Discounts are not being accepted either such as Tables in Wonderland or Cast Member discounts. 

Disney Parks Blog to Live Stream Debut of 'Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular':


While a special preview of the new Star Wars-themed fireworks show, Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular, tomorrow after the 'Force Awakens' party at Hollywood Studios. Friday, when the show debuts the Disney Parks Blog will live stream the event when the fireworks go off at 11 p.m. 

'Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular' is a dazzling Star Wars-themed fireworks show that's set to memorable music featured throughout the saga. The fireworks show will be featured nightly at Hollywood Studios. Tune in Friday, December 18 to the Disney Parks Blog to watch the new spectacular show.
