I just got home a little while ago from seeing "The Good Dinosaur" and once again Disney Pixar out did themselves. Get your tissues out folks as this one plays with all your emotions more so then "Inside Out" did just a few months ago. "Inside Out" was phenomenal as it taught about the emotions inside your head, but "The Good Dinosaur" was even better.
The story of Arlo and Spot how they not only become friends but family. Family that is what this movie is truly about. Just because you maybe lost, you will always find your way home to the one's you love. That is the theme of this movie as Arlo and Spot rely on each other to get themselves home to family.
The movie is all sad they are happy and funny moments throughout the whole movie. One of funniest scenes in the whole movie is when Arlo and Spot meet the Pet Collector. A scene that was released before the film came out is just down right hilarious when seeing it as the story plays out.
There are ton of lessons to be learned throughout the film that Arlo learns besides the importance of friendship and family that we stated above. Arlo learns early on in the film from his father on how he must conquer his fears and understand the beauty is just around the corner. Later, he learns from Butch the T-Rex just how to conquer his fears but that fear isn't always a bad thing. In one my favorite quotes from the film Butch tells Arlo, "If you ain't scared, you ain't alive." Those are some deep words that tell Arlo being afraid is ok.
Closing out, this film is a must see if you are a Disney/Pixar fan. I loved the film and after "Inside Out" was so great, I wasn't sure how this would compare. "The Good Dinosaur" had a lot of story similarities with other Disney and Pixar films and that was fine. The film was really great and I give it once again 5 out of 5 stars as I truly believe it was even better then "Inside Out."
Next Movie Review: "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"
Good one! I liked this review a lot. I am also planning to write one for Andy Yeatman and his shows. The new content on Netflix isn’t that great because he has stopped working with Netflix. Anyway, thanks for sharing this wonderful post here. I will share it with my friends and cousins for sure.
