Just announced during Disney's Quarter 1 earnings call, CEO Bob Iger made two big announcements the first one being that Pandora: The World of Avatar will open May 27 at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Explore the Valley of Mo'ara:
The Valley of Mo’ara is where your discovery and exploration of Pandora begins.
It’s where the land is an adventure unto itself. Where you don’t climb over mountains—you hike under them. It’s where the night sky comes alive with a bioluminescent glow. It’s where you’ll experience the start of a jaw-dropping, “I’ll-be-talking-about-it-for-years” type of adventure.

Journey Down a Pandoran River:
Climb aboard a reed boat and soon you’ll see that on the sacred Kaspavan River, every moment tells a story, and every bend sings a song. This expedition into the rainforest deep within the Valley of Mo’ara will take you right into the middle of Pandora and Na’vi culture. Traveling into the darkest part of the forest, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a canopy of exotic glowing plants and amazing animals on the move. Listen closely and you’ll hear the Na’vi Shaman of Songs as she fills the forest with beautiful music about the sacred bond between nature and ourselves.
Beyond any family adventure you’ve had before—that’s the Na’vi River Journey.
Challenge Yourself on the Flight of Passage:
In this expedition, you’ll experience the vast natural world of Pandora in all of its glory—from the air, on the back of a mountain banshee.
This winged predator is one of the most important and culturally significant animals to the Na’vi. Flying on a banshee is an important rite-of-passage for the Na’vi and now, you will get the chance to test yourself. Soaring through ancient stone arches, under floating mountains and over the lush landscape, this expedition is an experience like no other.

Star Wars Lands to Debut at both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios in 2019:
Iger then made a second announcement that both Star Wars Lands will open in 2019 in Disneyland and at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios. These will be the largest themed expansions at the theme parks on each coast.
At each location, guests will be transported to a never-before-seen planet – a remote trading port and one of the last stops before wild space – where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life.As always stay tuned as we learn more about Star Wars Land now opening in 2019.
