BaseLine Tap House Now Opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Announced back in July, the BaseLine Tap House officially opened as part of the new Grand Avenue area at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The new area opens the remnants of the former Streets of America in the park which closed last year because of construction on Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land.

BaseLine Tap House sits among the vintage office buildings and warehouses that represent the glory of Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles. Formerly known as the Figueroa Printing Company, this re-purposed print shop specializes in beer and wines from the Golden State of California, featuring craft ales, lagers and cider as the stars of the drink menu, along with California wines on tap and specialty cocktails that you won’t want to miss! If you can’t decide on one drink, then try one of BaseLine’s customizable beer flights, with up to 126 possible combinations of craft beers! Rounding out the drink menu, the pub also offers gourmet non-alcoholic lemonade and soda on tap.
Also available besides the delicious beverages being served, BaseLine will offer up small plates to satisfy their palate such as a Bavarian pretzel with mustard and beer-cheese fondue, spiced almonds, and even a charcuterie board highlighting a variety of California cheeses.

The original film follows Max Dennison, his little sister, and an immortal, talking cat named Thackery Binx as they set out to defeat three Sanderson sister witches who have come back from the grave. "AVATAR 2" Next Generation Cast Visits Pandora: The World of Avatar:

The new young cast of the next film of the AVATAR saga has recently visited Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The new cast ranges from 7 to 17 and are mostly newcomers to Hollywood as they were hosted by producer of the film Jon Landau.

Landau was passionate about immersing the cast into the wondrous world of Pandora to prepare them for their significant roles in the sequels. The on-the-ground learning opportunity allowed them to take in the sights, sounds and scents of the stunning world inside Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The next-generation cast had the chance to marvel at the awe-inspiring landscapes, float through a bioluminescent rainforest on Na’vi River Journey, and connect with an avatar and fly on the back of a banshee in Avatar Flight of Passage. They also indulged in blueberry cream cheese mousse and other treats at Satu’li Canteen and shopped for cool souvenirs at Windtraders.

The kids were inspired by Pandora’s rich theming, over-the-top experiences and powerful conservation story. The four AVATAR sequels will be filmed concurrently. Twentieth Century Fox will release the first sequel in theaters nationwide on Dec. 18, 2020. Check out the young casts' reaction to the amazing world:

Disney Officially Announces Birth of Baby Sumatran Tigers

Born last month, Disney has officially introduced us to the boy and girl Sumatran tiger cubs today on Wildlife Wednesday. Sohni, the mother has been taking care of the cubs and bonding well with them in the last few weeks feeding and grooming the cubs throughout the day. The tiger cubs both boy and girl are up to 12 pounds each.
The tigers were bred through the Species Survival Plan, which is overseen by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and ensures responsible breeding and diverse populations of threatened and endangered species. Sumatran tigers are critically endangered, with fewer than 500 existing in the wild due to significant threats like habitat loss, poaching and the illegal wildlife trade.
The tiger cubs will still remain backstage for the coming months and then will debut for guests on the Maharajah Jungle Trek. We can't wait to see them in the jungle.

Imagineers Ready Slinky Dog Dash Vehicle for Testing; Inside Look at Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark

Imagineers Ready Slinky Dog Dash Vehicle for Testing:

Just a few weeks ago the very first Slinky Dog Dash ride vehicle arrived at Disney's Hollywood Studios for Toy Story Land. Today, the Disney Parks Blog shared with us how Walt Disney Imagineers are getting that ride vehicle for testing on the track.
"The ride vehicle, which is themed after the character of Slinky from “Toy Story,” took Imagineers from multiple disciplines a few years to design, so the group was thrilled to see the finished product arrive on the site firsthand. According to the Imagineers, the vehicle was created to reflect Slinky’s personality, the movement and motion of a Slinky toy, and of course Slinky’s adorable look which will be visible throughout the land as the coaster moves along the track.
“This is a ride for the whole family: it’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s thrilling, but it’s not scary,” said Imagineer Bob Vignec. “It’s a rollercoaster, but it’s also this fun character that will be out in the land. You sort of get a little bit of goosebumps seeing it here for the first time.”

I know I'm excited for Toy Story Land and I can't wait for it to open in Summer 2018 at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

We are all praying for the victims to get the help they need now that Hurricane Irma has devastated the state of Florida, the Caribbean, and other areas. The Walt Disney Company has donated $2.5 million in Humanitarian Aid to support these communities. This donation will support the American Red Cross, UNICEF, Save the Children, and other nonprofit organizations.

“As millions of people now face the daunting challenge of putting their lives and communities back together in the wake of these historic hurricanes, they need our help,” said Robert A. Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “We’re donating $2.5 million to support relief and recovery efforts in response to Hurricane Irma. This is in addition to nearly $16 million we raised after Hurricane Harvey to help ensure storm victims have the support needed to recover and rebuild.”

In addition to Disney’s donation announced today, contributions from Disney employees to eligible relief and recovery organizations will be matched dollar for dollar by Disney Employee Matching Gifts: A Program of The Walt Disney Company Foundation.

During Hurricane Irma, Walt Disney World and the Disney Cruise Line donated meals, provided storage for supplies and power-utility vehicles, donated bedding to shelters, and made rooms available for first responders. Disney will also be donating goods and services throughout the region as specific needs are identified.

Last night, in partnership with other media companies, ABC will broadcast Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief, a telethon special to raise awareness and additional money to help the millions of people displaced and devastated by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. As of this moment over $44 million has been raised.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with those affected by this horrible disaster.

No word on who will place Trevorrow as director, but the good news is that Episode IX hadn't even started filming yet. Episode IX is due to hit theaters in 2019. In other news though, we are 100 days away from Episode VIII in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" which will hit theaters on December 15.

The Muppets Fountain Will Return; New Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Trailer

The Muppets Fountain Will Return at Disney's Hollywood Studios:

There is some good news coming to the Muppets area of what will now be Grand Park at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The Muppets Fountain featuring Miss Piggy, Fozzie, and Gonzo will return this fall. The fountain was removed last year and became a planter replacing the water, Fozzie, Gonzo and fish statues leaving only Miss Piggy atop of the plants.

The fountain was removed due to work being done on Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge nearby. Work started on August 30 and guests can expect to see the fountain return sometime in mid-October. This was first reported by WDW News Today.

Final Touches Being Put on Toy Story Land Model; New Animal Kingdom VIP Tour

Final Touches Being Put on Toy Story Land Model for Walt Disney Presents:

Just a few weeks ago we learned that One Man's Dream at Disney's Hollywood Studios would become Walt Disney Presents. Today, we learned that the new preview center which will house models of both Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and a never before seen Toy Story Land will open on September 8. Here is what we can expect in Walt Disney Presents as heard from the Disney Parks Blog today:
In addition to historic sketches, photos and storyboards, guests can also view ride vehicle maquettes, a portion of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge model, concept art for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction, and an all-new Toy Story Land model – which is being completed at Walt Disney Imagineering right now.
Yes, we now have a sneak peak of just what the Toy Story Land model will look like and here are the photos of Imagineers working on the model in detail.

I can't wait to see this model in person the next time I visit Disney's Hollywood Studios.
