'Tower of Terror' Movie in the Works at Disney; BoxOffice Makes First Prediction on 'The ForceAwakens'

'Tower of Terror' Movie in the Works at Disney:

Disney has hired Big Fish scribe John August and is looking to hire a screenwriter to make a movie out of one of its hit attractions Tower of Terror. Jim Whitaker is scheduled to co-produce with August after they hatched an idea together to make a movie based on one of Disney's most popular attractions and the studio loved their vision.

'Tower of Terror' has previously been made into a film, the very first Disney attraction based film, in 1997. The film was only made for television though and starred Steven Guttenburg and Kirsten Dunst. The premise of this film will be much like the attraction that five people enter into a posh hotel's elevator that is hit by lightning and they disappear into the Twilight Zone.

This isn't the only Disney attraction film that is in the works as "The Jungle Cruise" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, no date has been set for the film's release. Also the popular "Pirates of the Caribbean" film series is scheduled to released its fifth film in 2017.
