Breaking: Interactive Pandora Conservation Utility Suit Coming to Pandora: The World of AVATAR


Yes, the amazing robotic suits we saw in AVATAR are coming to Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The Pandora Conservation Initiative Utility Suit will make its debut inside the land on April 22. The Utility Suit was created in partnership between Lightstorm Entertainment, Disney Parks Live Entertainment, Michael Curry Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering.

It will be used to study wildlife, collect plant samples, and survive Pandora's terrain much like we saw in the film. Check out the video of the suit coming to life with the help of Walt Disney Live Entertainment's Tony Giordano, Robert King, and Laura Offerdahl.

Geppetto's Dinner Buffet Offering Coming; 'Up! A Great Bird Adventure' Show Debuts April 22

Geppetto's Dinner Buffet Offering Coming to Pinocchio Village Haus:


While Disney has yet to announce the offering, it looks like Pinocchio Village Haus will become a sit-down table-service restaurant. A new limited time offering will turn the quick service into Geppetto's Village Haus Buffet. The buffet service will be available from 4 p.m. until close daily. 

While nothing is official it is rumored that is offering could begin as early as March 5. It will be priced as $22 for adults and $12 for children ages 3-9. The menu is expected to be Italian themed with offerings such as multiple salads, baked ziti, meatballs, pasta alfredo, chicken parmesan, flatbreads, breadsticks, cannolis, and Italian cakes. A menu has not been finalized. 

During the Early Morning Magic Hours, a breakfast buffet was offered inside Pinocchio Village Haus, so this wouldn't be the first time a buffet would be offered at the restaurant. 

"UP! A Great Bird Adventure" Show to Debut April 22:


In celebration of Disney's Animal Kingdom 20th Anniversary, the new show replacing Flights of Wonder, "UP! A Great Bird Adventure" show will debut April 22. 
Beginning just in time for the 20th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this new entertainment experience for the whole family offers guests the chance to see Senior Wilderness Explorer Russell and his furry friend Dug as they discover species of birds from around the world in their newest adventure in Anandapur village. There will be “UP” close encounters each day with amazing winged creatures!

Chase Offering Exclusive Benefits for Disney Visa Cardmembers for Food & Wine

Disney Visa Cardmembers are once again getting exclusive benefits from Chase for the 20th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Chase is the festival's sponsor and just signed a multi-year agreement to continue with the sponsorship. 


This year cardmembers will have exclusive access to three different dining events during the festival: Brews, Breakfast, and More, The Making of the Party of the Senses, and The Creation of the Food & Wine Festival Marketplaces. Tickets to the events are subject to availability and are available for booking now. Here is more info on the three exclusive dining events:

  • Brews, Breakfast and More, September 28, 2015 - Over a three-course breakfast that uses beer as an ingredient and pairing, learn about innovative beer styles and brewing processes dating back to ancient Babylon and Egypt.
  • The Making of the Party for the Senses, October 27, 2015 - Discover how the culinary team makes this popular tasting event come alive. Over lunch in the Wine View Lounge, event creators offer a glimpse at the behind-the-scenes magic.
  • The Creation of the Food and Wine Festival Marketplaces, November 9, 2015 - Enjoy breakfast on the promenade before the Festival opens with a Walt Disney World Chef, Beverage Professional and Imagineer for a sneak peek at Marketplace creations and their menu delights.
Disney Visa Cardmembers will also have exclusive access to the Chase Lounge which has been at the festival previous years. Here cardmembers can have a seat, put up their feet and enjoy a refreshing beverage. Also here they will discover exclusive perks and benefits in the exclusive lounge area. The lounge will be open from 11 am to 9 pm on Sunday-Thursday and 11 am to 10 pm on select Fridays and Saturdays during the festival.

The lounge will be located in the American Adventure Pavilion on the third floor. Cardmembers are advised to use the elevator located between the attraction and the gift shop. Cardmembers must have their Disney Visa Card to gain access to the lounge.

This year's 20th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will begin September 25 and run through November 16.

Garden Grill to Offer Breakfast and Lunch Starting November 8; Get a Look at Exclusive Merchandise for Food & Wine

Garden Grill to Offer Breakfast and Lunch Beginning November 8:

The revolving restaurant in The Land Pavilion, Garden Grill, will be opening much earlier as it was announced today that it will begin serving breakfast and lunch starting November 8. The character restaurant will now have the new Chip 'n' Dale's Breakfast Harvest Feast as well as family-style lunch much like the dinner they serve.


At Chip 'n' Dale's Breakfast Harvest Feast guests will be able to enjoy breakfasts favorites like biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, Mickey waffles, and the Garden Grill's signature item, Chip's sticky bun bake. At lunch, the menu will be much like what's on the menu for dinner and include favorites such as the "Living with the Land" Harvest-inspired Farmer's salad, char-grilled filet of beef, roasted all-natural turkey breast served with freshly-harvested vegetable and other scrumptious sides.

Take a Look at the Exclusive Merchandise Coming to Epcot's International Food & Wine Festival:

The 20th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is just around the corner and is set to begin September 25 and will run through November 16. The festival will have over 30 global marketplaces including new marketplaces in Future World for the first time ever. Yesterday, the Disney Parks Blog gave us a first look at the exclusive merchandise that will be available commemorating the festival's 20th anniversary. 






The merchandise will be divided into 3 distinct art programs: the World Showcase logo program will include merchandise with icons from each of the 11 pavilions, the Character logo program will use Mickey and Figment dressed as chefs for that merchandise, and the "Brews Around the World" a program used in previous years.

Other items will include "The Muppets" Swedish Chef vinylmation, collectible pins on recipe cards, three new Dooney & Bourke handbags, assorted drinkware, four different appetizer plates, and holiday ornaments.

They also noted that in the coming weeks details on a new activity called "Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak" that will include prizes of limited edition pins. The merchandise will be available in the Festival Center located in Future World between the Universe of Energy and Mission: Space pavilions.

This year is the 20th anniversary of Epcot's Food & Wine Festival presented by Chase. This year's festival will run September 25 through November 16, 2015. This year their are over 30 marketplaces and for the first time ever marketplaces will be expanded into Future World of Epcot. Today, we bring you the full menus of the marketplaces.

Africa:
