Just announced a few hours ago, D23 announced that "Frozen FANdemonium: A Musical Celebration!" will be presented at this year's D23 Expo. Academy Award-winning composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will join in on the celebration with Frozen fans as they present the largest Frozen-Sing-Along Ever.
The musical celebration presented by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club will take place in the new 7,500-seat Hall D23 at 3:00 pm on August 16. The release on D23 said this:
"In what will be a thrilling and fun interactive experience for Disney fans of all ages, join host Chris Montan, president, Walt Disney Music, and the Oscar®-winning songwriting team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez as they take you on a once-in-a-lifetime musical journey through the world of Frozen. This one-day-only performance features your friends from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film––including Anna and Elsa––with sing-along experiences of your Frozen favorites such as “Let It Go,” “In Summer” and more. Plus, fans can expect special surprises and fascinating stories behind some of your favorite Frozen songs."
This year's D23 Expo takes place August 14-16 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Zuri's Sweets Shop to Open Soon in the Harambe Market:
Harambe Market at Disney's Animal Kingdom just opened recently but soon it will make room for one more shop. Zuri's Sweets Shop is set to open in the newly opened Harambe Market next Wednesday on June 17.
The new shop will be an extension on the Mombassa Marketplace and is a tradition candy counter with an African twist. It will feature 80 exclusive food items that are inspired by the tastes of Africa. Things like trail mixes, bottles of signature sweet and spicy barbecue sauces from Flame Tree Barbeque, themed sweets from "The Lion King," and much more. Not only will sweets be available but guests will be able to pick up other unique merchandise such as decorative "Blessing Baskets," which are handcrafted baskets created by artisans from Africa.
Star Wars: Rebels Characters Coming to Disney Infinity:
Today, Disney Interactive and Lucasfilm announced that characters from the Disney XD series, Star Wars:Rebels, are coming to Disney Infinity 3.0 edition this fall. Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Zeb Orrelios will be joining other Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, and Disney/Pixar characters in the Toy Box of Disney Infinity 3.0. All characters will be unlockable also in all of the Star Wars play sets.
