Limited Bus Service from Disney Parks to Disney Springs Added; Go Inside the Main Street Electrical Parade

Disney Adding Limited Bus Service from Disney Parks to Disney Springs:

Today, we got some exciting news for Disney World guests. Beginning this Sunday, August 28, Disney World is adding limited bus service from its theme parks to Disney Springs after 4 p.m. While service won't be provided back to the theme parks they will be provided to any of the Disney World Resorts.

Service to Disney Springs will be provided until 11 p.m. or until 2 hours after the parks close, whichever is earlier. This is great for guests who have dinner reservations at Disney Springs. Now they won't have to return to their resort to get to Disney Springs, they can just take a bus there from any of the theme parks.

Go Inside the Main Street Electrical Parade:

We will say goodbye to the Main Street Electrical Parade on October 9, as it will be shipped over to Disneyland for the new year. Today, Inside Disney Parks gave us inside look at the parade and the warehouse that holds the parade floats. They also revealed that guests who won't get a chance to see the parade before it goes will get a chance to see it this Sunday during the next Disney Parks Live Stream. Here is the newest episode of Inside Disney Parks:

Here's the info you need for this Sunday's live stream of the Main Street Electrical Parade. The live stream will begin at 8:55 p.m. ET. So catch the live stream this Sunday night before it 'glows away' over to the West coast at Disneyland.

Say Goodbye to Turkey Legs at Hollywood Studios; Christmas in July - Inside Disney Parks Edition

Say Goodbye to Turkey Legs at Hollywood Studios:

Last year, one of Disney's most popular treats inside its parks, turkey legs, were removed from Disney's Animal Kingdom. Although, since then Yak & Yeti Counter Service Drink Window has their own version of the treat. The madness is continuing as turkey legs will soon be removed from Disney's Hollywood Studios starting August 2.

Toluca Legs Turkey Co. will be renamed on that date to the Sunshine Day Cafe. While this was only a seasonally operated counter service inside Fairfax Faire at Hollywood Studios, turkey legs are still considered a favorite by park guests. Instead now Sunshine Day Cafe will be serving loaded baked potatoes including a one-pound baked potato with tri-tip beef, brown gravy, and white cheddar, as well as the Loaded Fairfax Potato with sour cream, cheddar, and bacon.

Turkey Legs will still continue to be available at both Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. Are you upset that turkey legs are being removed from Hollywood Studios almost a year after they were removed from Animal Kingdom?

Christmas in July - Inside Disney Parks Edition:

Today, Inside Disney Parks gave us an inside look at the storage facility where they keep all their Christmas decorations. We also got a first look at the decorations that will be featured at Disney Springs during the holidays this year for its first Christmas.

We also hear about Disney Springs newest restaurants including Frontera Cocina and Homecoming where we hear from Chef's Rick Bayless and Art Smith. So lets take a look at the newest episode of Inside Disney Parks:

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend and Happy Friday everyone.

Animal Kingdom Awakens Tonight with New Nighttime Experiences

Tonight Animal Kingdom will awaken as the new nighttime experiences will debut at the park. Most notably "The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic" and the new nighttime safari at Kilimanjaro Safari. That's not all as Tiffins Signature Restaurant and the adjoining Nomad Lounge opened earlier today at the park.

The new nighttime safaris at Kilimanjaro Safaris will begin tonight and the care of the animals behind the scenes as they will be out in the park later than they ever have been. "It has been three years in the making," Dr. Mark Penning said on the Disney Parks Blog. They created an environment like no other by enhancing and building the best possible animal habitats that offer choices for the animals, such as ranges in temperature, sound, and light levels.

Now that animals will be out later guests will be saying various animals throughout the day and night at Animal Kingdom. The experts will now provide check-ups to the animals on the savannah various times during both the day and night.

That's not all guests have to look forward as new animals have been added to the safari just for the new nighttime experiences. These animals include painted dogs, hyenas, and more recently a brand new herd of wildebeests.  I can't wait to experience the safari at night when I get back to Disney World in September.

The biggest debut expected tonight, while its not Rivers of Light as expected, but "The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic" will debut tonight with two shows. The new Inside Disney Parks newscast gave us an extra sneak peak into the show before it debuts tonight. Check the extra episode for this week with this inside look at "The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic."

The Disney Parks Blog will also be holding a special party this Sunday, May 29 for 100 special guests that filled quickly for a viewing of "The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic." It was limited to the winners and one guest.

Guests who have won will check-in at the Will Call window at the park between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Winners must present Photo I.D. when checking in for the event.

If you are going to Animal Kingdom tonight, enjoy the amazing new nighttime experiences at the park. I can't wait to enjoy them myself.

Disney Saying Goodbye to Disney Dollars:

Disney is discontinuing sale of Disney Dollars effective this Saturday May 14, 2016. The program began in 1987 at both Disneyland and Disney World. Disney Dollars have been accepted as currency at all Disney Parks and the Disney Store as well as being collector's items for many Disney fans.

Disney is said to be discontinuing the program due to the increased use of Disney gift cards and other digital currency. While the sale of Disney Dollars will stop on Saturday, use of the currency will still be accepted throughout the parks and at Disney Store's as they do not expire.
