After opening in several international markets the week of April 25, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 debuted in Korea, Russia and China this weekend, with China quickly becoming the top international market for the film with $49.3 million in its first three days. In Korea, where it opened May 3, the film has already exceeded the entire run of the original Guardians of the Galaxy. In addition to China, top markets include the U.K. ($35.5 million), Germany ($18.6 million), Australia ($17.3 million), France ($16.2 million), Mexico ($15 million), Brazil ($14.3 million) and Korea ($13.1 million). The total international gross through May 7 is $285 million."
With the debut of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" it has pushed Marvel Studios past the $11 billion mark for all 15 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
