LucasFilm Releases Statement Regarding Rumors, Kingdom Cabanas to be Removed, & More

LucasFilm Releases Statement Regarding Rumors About Future Without Carrie Fisher:

We were all deeply saddened when we lost the great Carrie Fisher late last year. We already knew that  Fisher had completed her role for Episode VIII in the Star Wars saga. The questions and rumors have been swirling about future films that may contain the late Princess/General Leia. Last night, LucasFilm released a statement regarding those rumors/questions.

In it they said that they will not digitally enhance any of Carrie Fisher's performances as Princess or General Leia Organa Solo. Here is the full statement:
"We don’t normally respond to fan or press speculation, but there is a rumor circulating that we would like to address. We want to assure our fans that Lucasfilm has no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher’s performance as Princess or General Leia Organa.

Carrie Fisher was, is, and always will be a part of the Lucasfilm family. She was our princess, our general, and more importantly, our friend. We are still hurting from her loss. We cherish her memory and legacy as Princess Leia, and will always strive to honor everything she gave to Star Wars."
I can't wait to see what they do to Fisher's storyline considering reports have said she was to have a major role in the final part of the saga, in Episode IX when it releases into theaters 2019. Meanwhile, "Star Wars: Episode VIII" will soar into theaters this December.

Kingdom Cabanas to be Removed from Magic Kingdom:

The Kingdom Cabanas didn't last very long in the Magic Kingdom. After, they already were discounted just a few weeks ago, they will now be removed/discontinued on February 17, 2017. Some have already been removed from the park according to reports.

No word on why they are being removed, but by guess they weren't very successful. Since they were built in late Fall, there have been highly criticized for price at $649/day and the fact that they had no place to be in the Magic Kingdom.
