Looking to visit Disney World in 2017? Have no fear as 2017 Disney World vacation packages are due to be released very soon. Booking information and room rates will be released at 7 a.m. on June 21, 2016, just two weeks today.
Vacation packages can't be booked more than 499 days of your final date of your vacation when you book your vacation package. These will be for vacations beginning January 1, 2017. Vacation packages for 2016 were announced last year on June 22.
Disneyland Chef Named Top 10 Pastry Chef in America:
Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Marc Viallet at Disneyland has been recently named a top 10 Pastry Chef in America by Dessert Professional Magazine. This is the 23rd annual publishing of the awards. The recognition honors the top pastry chefs who have distinguished themselves as innovators, leaders, and mentors in the field.
Viallet is a native of France who joined Disney over 17 years ago and leads the team at the Disneyland Resort Central Bakery. Viallet describes his style as innovative focusing on the taste being visually attractive and avant-garde, but staying within the storyline and theming of the dessert.
What is the chef's favorite dessert? "Chocolate with creamy and crunch textures." The selected chefs will be honored at an event tonight in New York City. Congratulations, Chef Viallet!
