New Star Wars Nighttime Spectacular Coming to Hollywood Studios:

News broke this morning on the Disney Parks Blog that a new Star Wars nighttime spectacular will be debuting this April. A new stage show called, "Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away" will officially begin on April 4, just two days after some major closures inside the park are set to happen.

The new show will feature iconic moments from the film saga played out on Center Stage (in front of the Chinese Theater. It will also feature appearances from Star Wars characters Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and Darth Maul. Also beginning in April, Captain Phasma will lead a platoon of First Order stormtroopers on a march from Star Wars Launch Bay to Center Stage multiple times daily.

The big news is one fans won't want to miss with the grand debut of a new fireworks show called, "Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular." Here is the description of the show from the Disney Parks Blog:

"This new nightly show is the next generation of the current Star Wars-inspired fireworks show. The show will combine fireworks, pyrotechnics, special effects and video projections that will turn the nearby Chinese Theater and other buildings into the twin suns of Tatooine, a field of battle droids, the trench of the Death Star, Starkiller Base and other Star Wars destinations. The show will be punctuated with a tower of fire and spotlight beams, creating massive lightsabers in the sky. This new show will be the most elaborate fireworks display to take place in the history of Disney’s Hollywood Studios."

Preview of Star Wars Darkside Challenge Medals for runDisney Half Marathon:

Today, we got a look at what the runDisney medals for the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side happening at Disney World in April. The race weekend will happen April 14-17, 2016. The race weekend will include medals for a 5k, 10k, Half-Marathon, the Dark Side Challenge, as well as runDisney kids races.

 The 5k features three stormtroopers, the 10k features a TIE fighter, the Half Marathon features Darth Vader, the Dark Side Challenge medal features the Death Star, and the kids races medal features Chewbacca. If you have completed the Light Side Half-Marathon in Disneyland from this past January and the Dark Side Half you will receive the Kessel Run medal which of course features the Millennium Falcon.

First Poster for "Pete's Dragon" Released, Motion Teaser also Released:

We have been waiting month's for something to be released on this summer's remake of "Pete's Dragon." Today, we received the very first look at the film with a new poster as well as a motion teaser being released. The poster can be seen below as well as the "motion" poster:

The very first teaser for "Pete's Dragon" is set to make its debut during this Sunday's "The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60" special set to air from 8-10 p.m. EST on ABC. "Pete's Dragon" is set to hit theaters August 12, 2016.
