Paint the Night Returning for Limited Time Next Month; Disneyland Ready to Launch Digital FastPass

Paint the Night Returning for Limited Time Next Month:

Paint the Night will make its return to Disneyland for a limited time beginning November 18. The electrical parade that was introduced for Disneyland's Diamond Celebration ended its full time run at the park back in September.

The parade that was very popular will be shown twice nightly at 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. for the period of November 18 through November 27, 2016. No word on what other weeks Pain the Night will return as Disneyland only announces their schedules 6-weeks in advance. The nighttime parade is expected to be seen on select nights throughout the busiest times of the upcoming holiday season.

The Main Street Electrical Parade that just ended its run in Disney World earlier this month will be making its return to Disneyland sometime in January 2017.

Disneyland Ready to Launch Digital FastPass System:

It had been reported since last year that Disneyland would begin testing a digital FastPass service inside its parks. While they have been over the last few months sparingly testing it out it appears they are ready to begin rolling out next month with at least one of its popular attractions.

According to WDW News Today, Disneyland will begin their Digital FastPass service with a rollout of the service at Toy Story Midway Mania in Disney California Adventure on November 20, 2016. New signage will be installed by Walt Disney Imagineering at the attraction in Mid-November.

As previously reported, the service will run through the Disneyland app with utilizing a barcode that cast members will scan when guests return for their reservation. It is unknown however how far in advance guests will be able to make the reservation or how they will make the reservations.

Reports have also surfaced that other attractions are also preparing for the rollout of the Digital FastPass in the coming weeks and months after it begins at Midway Mania. As always stay tuned as more information about Disneyland's Digital FastPass Service comes out.
