Today, D23 and the Walt Disney Archives announced that during this years D23 Expo the archives will celebrate the 60th Anniversary with "Disneyland: The Exhibit." The exhibit will have more than 300 pieces from the history of the parks. It will be the largest exhibit ever by the archives at the D23 Expo. It will 12,000 square-foot exhibit on the expo show floor it will include themed area's to the parks history, attractions, parades, and entertainment over the past six decades.
The exhibit will show of the construction of Disneyland, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey Mouse Club at Disneyland, Club 33, and collectible merchandise. It will show off the history of the parks iconic lands: Main Street, USA, Fantasyland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Tomorrowland, and Critter Country/Bear Country. Each area will also contain items from Disneyland's past including attraction vehicles, costumes, props, and Audio-Animatronics figures.
Other items to be seen include ticket no. 1 purchased by Roy O. Disney on July 18, 1955, the first day the park was open to the general public and early surveying equipment used at Disneyland, among other archived items never before seen by the public. The D23 Expo will take place August 14-16, 2015 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Indiana Jones-Themed Hangar Bar to Open in Disney Springs:
Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, an Indiana Jones-themed bar, is coming to Disney Springs. It will be located between the newly opened BOATHOUSE and the soon to be expanded Paradiso 37. The new aviation-themed bar and the details were announced on the Disney Parks Blog today. It is going to be a prime location along Lake Buena Vista with seating for 150.

The story of this new restaurant and bar is fan's of the "Indiana Jones" films remember his trustee pilot, Jock Lindsey. His pet snake, Reggie, will be an important detail of the new hangar bar. In the main room of the hangar guests will see an expansive bar, aviation decor filling the room, vintage travel posters covering the walls, and correspondence between Jock, Indy, and their fellow adventurers on display. They will also be able to eat and drink outside in Jock's old steamboat in permanent dry dock, aptly named "Reggie." Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar is set to open this fall in Disney Springs.
The Official Trailer for "The Muppets" is Out:
As I blogged on Friday, ABC announced that "The Muppets" were coming to the network for a new series this fall. Today, it was announced that the show will be on Tuesday's this fall along with the trailer of the pilot of the show.
The official synopsis is this:
The Muppets return to primetime with a contemporary, documentary-style show. For the first time ever, a series will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires. This is a more adult Muppet show, for “kids” of all ages.
Here is the trailer, it is quite enjoyable and I can't wait for the new series.
